Never got most of the products . What did get was dead.

Placed an order in early spring 2016 for $77.90. Waited, called June 8th because I was still waiting on order. Was told that they were waiting on the Lilac bushes . When order came everything was dead or dorment. Half of the order we did not get. The rest was not lilac bushes but Ginko trees. And only 1 was alive. I called and they said in the fall they would sent them. I called in the fall several times and said they were coming. I called in Late oct. and no answer. I have tried several times. No answer. Is there a way to get hold of them or are they out of business. Or work under another name. I am so upset with them . Is there a good company out there?

TWO SEASONS AGO I ORDERED 100+ RED RUGOSA ROSE HEDGES- THEY LOOKED LIKE THE PLANT IN THE CATALOG BUT DEFINATELY AREN'T. THEY HAVE SEVERAL DIFFERENT COLORS OF FLOWERS AND THE TALLEST ONE IS ONLY ABOUT TWO FOOT TALL. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN Tooo MUCH WORK TO DIG UP OVER 100 THORNY BUSHES, PACK & SHIP BACK THEN REPLANT WHEN CORRECT ONES CAME. I HAVE NOT ORDERED FROM THEM AGAIN. I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE RESULTS OF THIS ORDER- QUALITY CONTROL NEEDS TO BE BETTER WHEN SHIPPING ORDERS. WE SPENT TWO DAYS PLANTING ACCORDING TO DIRECTIONS JUST TO FIND THE NEXT SEASON THAT THE PLANTS WERE NOT WHAT WAS ORDERED.

Worst nursery

Oreded trees and other plants. Never received anything. Been a year and 3 months. I feel like more should be done about this company. All the reviews I have read have not been good ones (about 1 ok review to 75 bad reviews) seems like they like taking money from people. After multiple emails, I gave up. For anyone that has to much cash, order from them!! They will be happy to steel your money and give you nothing!! So glad I spent 50 of my 100$ gardening budget for plant and trees that I never seen. Would summit a photo, but I didn't even get dead plants, so nothing to show... S^*t company

I bought the Stella Cherry Tree in 2013 from SummerStone Nursery and finally, the Cherry Tree starting to bearing fruit this year. It turns out not a Stella Cherry Trees that I bought for. This fruit very small, about the size of a pea, and they taste bitter. I check the soil pH and it is at a correct level. I try to contact them, and their shop is closed. What the heck I am doing with this then? the tree cost me $20 for it. I should know better and I saw bad reviews from them but I ignored it. I wish there is a way I can contact them. I wasted my 4 years for the tree not correct.

I ordered trees and rose bushes over a year ago. They did not grow. I did everything this company told me to do and sent them back for replacement......AND NEVER HEARD A WORD FROM THEM. NEVER. They have my plants, my money and they're GONE!!!!!!!!! This really sucks. Companies need to be held accountable not just take your money and ignore you!!!!! IF they were still in business I WOULD SUE THEM........IN A HEARTBEAT!!!!! I purchased beautiful rose bushes and trees for my backyard, they were sent and they died. When I contacted them they said their policy was replacement not refund. I said that was fine just replace what I purchased. I did what was instructed and then the company went silent. Never received any correspondence from then at all. NOT GOOD...

I am in the same boat. I believe they packed up and moved.

When trying to locate them I stumbled upon a paid ad for fruit trees. The link took me to USA Nursery. The web page is almost identical to what Summerstone used to look like. I am pretty sure it is him.

I sent an email today and will see if we hear back. If not, I think there is enough of us that we can start a class action suit against the owner.

I have already filed a complain with the Tennessee Attorney General. It would be smart if all of us did that and maybe we can get this resolved without losing anymore money!

Summerstone Nursery ripoff

well, I'm out over $100 in fruit trees and shipping! Ordered an assortment of trees, all were very dry when they finally arrived early last May.

I planted them and nurtured them for months. I observed no sign of life on any of them, called and got the return paperwork. Dug them up and shipped them back last fall. I tracked the package to be certain they got the trees back.

I received no acknowledgement that they were received with a projected date for the new trees to be shipped and after reading some of the others experiences, I guess the company is now out of business? Would love to have either trees or my money back!

I guess I'm not going to get my replacement plants for the dried up sticks they sent me that were labeled pink dogwood trees. They were ordered last spring and were planted upon arrival.

In the fall, I pulled them up and sent in the replacement requirements.

I inquired about them in November and was assured they would be sent. Here it is, April of 2017 and still no trees.

Spring 2016 I received 2 orders of dead plants. One totalling $141.49, other $172.45. Totalling $313.94. I planted them to try to nurture and see if there was any life. I contacted the company who do not offer refunds but followed their policy of returning the dead plants for replacements. It cost me over $30 shipping. I was assured my new plants would arrive in the fall. It is March 2017 and I have not received the plants and cannot get in touch with the company. I want a full refund and would like response from the company. It has changed my view of mail order and cannot believe the unethical conduct of summer stone nursery.

I have never had a problem with any other nursery company, With the Legitimate looking Catalog they had sent, Looked like all the rest, but prices seemed good! well! I guess thats why they were cheap so they could reel you in and Suck your money!

I put in an order for $205.00 Worth of plants/trees etc on April 13, 2016 and NOTHING I called in October, Lady on phone confirmed my order, and said they were waiting on the first frost, and then they will ship! here it is now Spring 2017 and I just called and phone number is no longer in service, I think a law suit should be filed on this company, any one have any info ? The phone number 1-93*-668-**** Is now no longer working number, I have ordered elsewhere and never had a problem, Suggestions? anyone? Ripped OFF!!! I want my money back or my plants delivered! This place is a total rip off!!!

Dose any one know to get in touch with Summerstone nursery I order 3 rose bushes and when I got them it was to cold to plant them so I did every thing that the instructions and planted them when the ground wasn't frozen I called them back in September and told them they were dead and they said they would send me new ones well its April well it's April and now I find out there close and I'm out 50.00 dollars

i ordered 15 trees and plants early spring of 2016. i received them june 2016.

they were immed.

put into water for 2-3 days. then planted. ONE TREE lived and one pussey willow survived. i live on SS so this was a major purchase .

i thought maybe they would grow this spring 2017. DIDN'T HAPPEN. They were totally dead.

of course no emails or telephone calls would not go through.

WHAT A DISGUSTING RIP-OFF.

someone who is starting a law suit be sure and put my name on the list.

They filed chapter 11 in 2015. This was this company's 3rd bad nursery business. Beware of any new mail order nurseries that may pop up as it may be the same owners re branding for the same scheme.

I ordered over 400 apple trees this past spring which cost me more than $ 4200. It was shipped to me but more than half of the trees were completely dried when I got it. I planted the ones which I think has a chance to survive but I returned more than 200 for replacement . A few months later more than 80 of the ones I planted failed to survived. I called the company and they needed me to make a list and email to them. I did just that. I made several calls after that and I was informed that the replacement will be shipped around November or December. As of today no replacement has been made. I called the company multiple times but the phone is not working. I only had about 1/4 of what I ordered survived.

Dead tree

Ordered a Cherry Tree and planted it. Looks the same as the day I planted it. DEAD ! Have tried to contact the company to get a replacement of it, but no reply from them. Now I know now why. I am not out as much as some of the other people are, but any amount of MONEY is OUR HARD EARNED MONEY !!!!! This company should have to refund everyone their money even though that is not part of their agreement . When you have a company like this that treats people this way, no matter the agreement, OUR MONEY should be returned. No if, and's or buts about it.

I ordered and received 2 orders, approx $400. Worth of plants spring of 2016.

Just about all were dead. After giving them a chance dug them up and returned, yes more $ to postage. They guaranteed in the fall fresh plants would be sent out. No plants, and now I cannot get in contact with them.

I am interested in pursuing further action.

Please post the current status and what other customers intend to do. Thank you.

They definitely have placed a black mark on mail order nursery businesses. Hopefully, they have a conscience that haunts them for what they have done to many gardners and would-be gardners.

However, shame on me for not doing my research before ordering from them. This website would have provided valuable insight...

Is Summerstone Nursery in Business?

I purchased 2 American linden trees last spring from Summerstone Nursery. I didn't receive them till June. When the trees arrived they looked & felt dry & dead. Instructions said they were dormant, but they never showed any signs of growth or being alive. Wanted to e-mail them that I was returning them for replacements but their e-mail comes back as undeliverable. Looking at some other comments I see I may be out of my money spent on the trees. Wondering if there are any way to get my trees or reimbursed? At least I want to go on recorded so nobody else gets screwed or if there is ever a law suit brought against them.

Summer, 2015 I purchased $163.39 worth of plants. Including roses, gladilus, ninjas and sunflower seeds. I never got any confirmation of my order. After countless phone calls, finally I spoke to female stating her name as Ann. She said there are no confirmation on orders. However they would be mailed by March. In ate arch I got the bare root roses and the free plant gifts. Out of 15 roses only 2 grew. Over $150. The gladiolus did not grow. I did get the zinnas and sunflower to grow. The gift plants were dry sticks. They never grew. I tried on many occasions to contact this company and as everyone stated in their review, the calls go into recording and unanswered. Reviewers state this company just change names each year. Go to your local plant nursery or wal-mart, Lowe's homeroom. If it dissent grow, you have a yar to get your money back. Summerstone offer false warrant and inferior plants. Rip off
